The REC Central Florida Community has participated in several recent REC events as described below.
Citrus County Detention Facility Honors Residents Encounter Christ (REC)
On March 14, 2025, The Core Civic Citrus County Detention Facility hosted an appreciation dinner to honor all of their volunteer organizations. Cindy, Michele, and Susan from the State and Mid-Florida Boards of Residents Encounter Christ attended and were surprised and delighted when Chaplain Wilson presented them with a certificate of commendation for REC's generous volunteer service. What a joy to receive such an honor on behalf of all REC team members who share the love and hope of Jesus with each other and the incarcerated men and women who so desperately need a deeper relationship with Jesus.
